Running

For most of my teenage years and early adult life, my main focus was on track&field, where I considered myself a sprinter. In early 2013, while still trying to run a few sprints as a masters athlete, I decided to shift my focus away from pure sprints and to attempt a few longer races on roads and trails. That year, I successfully completed both a half-marathon and a 10k race (in that order, even). More recently, my interest has shifted away from “easy” running on flat courses, towards more difficult trail- and mountain-running; culminating with a mountain marathon (Mont-Blanc 42k) in 2018.
